It was a sunny Sunday afternoon in October, Mark, Granddad and myself decided we would go to watch Swansea versus Millwall in the Liberty Stadium. I felt excited and I was hoping that Swansea would win. We went to Pizza Hut and Granddad and Mark were feeling excited as well. Then we went in the ground and it was nearly full, the match kicked off and the game was nil-nil at half time. In the second half Swansea scored two goals and the tension was getting high, the Millwall fans were starting to get angry, and when the match ended the Millwall fans were taunting the Swansea fans now it was about to kick off. The Swansea fans were angry and started to fight with the police, then the Millwall fans came and joined in, and I was separated from my granddad and Mark. I felt worried that they were in the fight and were going to be badly hurt. Of what I could see it was a bloody fight and it was getting well out of hand. Tyres were being thrown and cars mirror, along with police bike wheels as well.

People were carrying weapons, knives, poles and baseball bats. I was getting really worried and I wanted to go and look for Granddad and Mark, but I was afraid to because I could have been hurt or worst of all killed. I decided to stand back to watch and be worried. People were full of blood and everybody was screaming, shouting and swearing. It was very loud and there were lots of ambulaces there, many people were injured and badly hurt in the fight, it looked like it would never stop. So I went to look for my family but I could not find them anywhere. I was extremely worried but after a while more police came and it died down, especially when the horses and vans arrived. But not much, because some horses got badly injured as they were being hit by metal poles. The horse broke its leg and a van got set on fire. The fight kept on going and I was stuck in the middle of it, I got it a few times on the legs and arms, but I felt lucky to get out and stayed back.

I felt relieved when I escaped but the fight just kept on going. Some cars were wrecked and buildings were smashed up, there was glass and stones on the road and it wasn't safe for cars to travel down. The neighbours were watching in horror as the fight went on and on. Someone was celebrating a birthday party and they were a very angry because it had spoiled their celebrations.

I was watching the fight from a hill, and there was no sign of Mark and Granddad. I was very upset and after like half an hour or so the fight broke up and I could just see them walking towards me in the distance. I was relieved that they were ok, and when they came to the car I asked them where they had been. They explained to me that they were help up outside the Liberty Stadium because of all the commotion that was going on. I told them that I was extremely worried about them. I explained to them that I had been hit a number of times and they told me that they had also been very worried about me. They were a bit angry but soon got over it.

When we arrived home we explained to the family what had happened during the football match. I hope that I will never be involved in an incident like that ever again.
